- Experience with NYSDOT construction contract administration, project documentation, material certifications, quantity/payment documentation, change orders, and project closeout is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of highway and bridge construction methods, materials, plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1 certification
- OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification required
- Water Main Inspection Certificate
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle to travel to and from project sites for site inspections.
- NICET Level III or IV certification in Highway
- Bachelor's degree (B. S., or B.A.) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of relevant highway and/or bridge construction inspection experience preferred.
- Experience on projects on NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NYCDDC, PANYNJ, or MTA or similar public transportation projects is preferred.
